I am trying to change initilization parameters. I am using Oracle 9.2 on a Windows 2000 server .... have signed on as SYSDBA in the Oracle Enterprise Manager Standalone ... every time I try to change an entry in the initialization screen and exit using the GUI interface it returns the same message ... "applying dynamic parameter(s) failed. closed connection" .... what am I doing wrong ???

There is really no useful information here to start with.
What init parameter are you changing?
Did you try it in sql*plus?
Else please try it and post the results.
