Hello friends.

I have problem after installation of Oracle 9i R2 Database.
Mp PC back home is P4 RAM 512 Win XP Pro SP 1.
Before installation, my free harddisk was around 50 Gigabytes but after I was successful installed it, my space was no longer insufficient even for saving a word file (under 500 KB)!
What the cause of that? Is there any log or error file that grows and eating all my space? Please help me.

Thank you
Raya

You must of created a database too? Did you have archivelog mode on when you created the database? If so, you'll probably have a ton of archive logs taking up space. You may also want to check the size of any datafiles/tempfiles/redolog files associated with the database.

You should have some Oracle install logs in C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\logs, but they usually don't consume a ton of space. Check the user's temp directory too.

I just followed the standard instructions when installing it. I've checked there was a seed of example database but I'm not sure how big it is. But I'm prety sure not big enough (cost 50GB space).

I'll check the logs as your recommend.

Thanks Ebrian
