hello
i am just facing a problem if any one can help me i m trying to connect visual studio 2005 with oracle 10g. so visual studio .net is giving an error tnslistner cannot resolve the service name but tns listner service is running and the name of the database is orcl. please can any one help me out in this matter.

can u connect using sqlplus ? what is the output of tnsping?

hi
yes i am connecting with sql every thing is working fine but when i try to connect with visual studio .net its giving an error tns listen unable to resolve service name so please can u check it out.

how are u specifiying the connection to oracle in .net? is it same as in listener.ora file? pl. post the listener.ora file as well as the way u have put the connection in .net.
