Hi,
Is it possible to install Oracle 9i and 10g on the same machine and have them coexist happily?
What I want to avoid with any solution is I don't want to have to install the second one under a different user name (as is the way of doing it in Solaris). And don't really want to have to be continually changing my environment variables (ORACLE_HOME) depending on which version I want to use at the time.
Is this possible at all?

Yep talking about 9i and 10g DB's. The machines we are running it on all have 2GB of ram (we really should have 4GB for what we run on there but that's another story).
I just want to have both running for an interim period as I move all the 9i db's over to 10g. Once thats done 9i won't run unless there is a specific need for it.
