I have installed OracleXE and am impressed with it so far - love HTMLDB (hope Oracle rename it though!).

However, on the XP machine it is installed on I have an ASP application which uses Oracle at the back end. Access seems to be impossible using ADO MDAC to the XE database.

Does anyone have a solution to this please?

Thanks

Phil

I tried to install an Oracle 10g client but this really mucked things up as it meant there were 2 homes. MDAC doesn't like that!

Please can someone shed some light on this?

Check your tnsnames.ora files. How many homes do you have? How many tnsnames.ora files do you have? Are they identical?
