hai all,

could u plz tell what for dbsnmp.exe is used in association with intelligent agent in unix..?this is the question which was asked in the interview.plz help out with full details.

Hi,

This is probably a trick question:

1) "dbsnmp.exe" is a Windows executable. The Unix equivalent is "dbsnmp".

2) DBSNMP is not available in Oracle 10g anymore.

BTW: DBSNMP is the Intelligent Agent process. DBSNMPJ is spawned whenever a job is submitted to the Intelligent Agent.
