hello,
In my test environment, I am running two database in two seperate machine. One is local database and another remote database.
UNDER OEM I discoverd node so my remote database(test8i) has been added to the navigator pan( under node). I setup my preferred credentials is
target name: test
type : database
username: sys
pasword : change_on_install
role: sysdba
My node setup as : sysman

I can connect this remote database as a user like sys/change_on_install....Normal. BUT I am not be able to connect as a sysdba therefore, when I could'nt setup backup/recovery option... it gives me error said 'ora-01031:insuffcient privileges' some times I got 'ora-01017: invalid username/password: logon denied'
Questions:
To manage and backup a remote database on my local OEM what are the setup steps I should take? or how do I setup sysdba privileges for remote database into my local machine? Please give me some advice.
Thank you
