Hi all,

I'm using Oracle 11g running over a Windows 7 OS. The service OracleServiceORCL doesn't start. Listener.log has the following registry:

23-OCT-2012 19:45:29 * (CONNECT_DATA=(CID=(PROGRAM=)(HOST=__jdbc__)(USER=MBA-DB$))(SERVICE_NAME=orcl)) * (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=127.0.0.1)(PORT=49445)) * establish * orcl * 12514

TNS-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor

When I try to start in services, is returned the OS error 1067.

This error starts to occur when I did the follow. I executed a PL\SQL command to fill a (big) table with a lot of data. More than 1 day after and while the program still running, I broke the program. After that, Oracle was consuming lot of disk. I broke the process (using taskkill /f) and, after that, the database stopped working.

Any ideas about what is happen?
What I can do to recover my database?

Below I list my listener.ora and tnsnames.ora

There should be some indication of why the instance doesn't start in the alert log, which will be a file called something like
C:\app\mba\diag\rdbms\orcl\orcl\trace\alert_orcl.log

Above indicates access by a remote client; however this is not possible when listener uses (HOST = localhost).

OS Services for both the listener & DB must be running in order to start the instance.
No listener is required to start, manage or access any local Oracle DB.

How many different systems (physical or virtual)are in this problem environment?

Looks as though the database started up OK. What is the problem?

After two 2 days off, unexpectedly the database starts working. I don't know what I could do for that. I'm doing a backup of the data and then I will re-start the system to see if starts well again.

Thanks for trying to help.
