Hi,

there are some databases up on unix-machines and I'd like to know which pfile they have been used when they came up. So there are different init.ora-files at several locations.

hints are welcome!

On unix servers the init.ora file is in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs. You will either have the file there or a soft link to it.

Hi,
that's allright, but how to find it, if I've started the database with the "PFILE=...."-argument. So I could start an init.ora from every place within reachable path....

ciao,
Holger
