I recently changed the password for the oracle installation windows account. After that I started to get connection refused while attemting to change the password for backup in OEM. The agent is not starting and the trace file contains
'Connection could not be made because the target server actively refused it'
Any suggestions would be welcome.

Change the password back to original value.

thanks, good suggestion, the problem is that everything was working few days ago. From what I see out there, the password change should not cause the problem, I will talk to os admins to see if anything was changed on the firewall.

It appears that this error has nothing to do with Oracle.
