hello sir,

I am receiving ora-1034 error in oracle 8.1.6
windows platform
while i restarting my system and login into oracle database
i am getting ora-1034 oracle not available
what i should do for oracle database automatic availability
please give me solution

Do you realize that 8.1.6 is no longer supported let alone supported on Win2k3 ?

Nevertheless, for Oracle to autostart you should ensure the Windows Oracle service is set to auto-start.

the database service is already in automatic mode then too the same problem.

Have you verified that ORA_<SID>_AUTOSTART is set to TRUE in the registry?

i didn't find like

ORA_<SID>_AUTOSTART in the registry.


i have ORA_AUTO_FILE in the registry..
